Taunton Road Residents Vote to Join CPZ

We've just had notification of the results of the public consultation to develop a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) in Taunton Road. 38 questionnaires were returned (representing a 51% response), with 20 respondents in favour, 15 against, and one apparently stated no preference. We don't as yet have a date for when the CPZ will be implemented.

Forgotten But Not Gone Exhibition

One of our colleagues, Cllr Pete Pattisson, has an exhibition of photo-stories about modern day slavery opening on Tuesday March 24th, 7.30-8.30pm at the Downham Leisure Centre, 7-9 Moorside Road, Downham BR1 5EP.

The map, called simply ‘Cycling in Lewisham’, shows the routes of quieter roads, routes through green areas, and cycle lanes throughout the borough.

Lewisham is also offering free two-hour cycle lessons, delivered by a professional cycling instructor, to anyone living, working or studying in the borough. Participants will receive one-to-one training tailored to their needs, plus advice on safety and bicycle maintenance.

To order a free copy of the map, call 020 8314 2270 or email transport@lewisham.gov.uk
