Free electric blanket testing until end of February 2009

Testing of electric blankets by Lewisham Council has revealed that 2 out of every 5 failed their safety tests.

As a result Lewisham, has decided to extend its free electric blanket testing service. During November alone over 25 blankets were safety checked; during the same four weeks last year only 9 were brought in for testing.

If you own an electric blanket you can get it tested for free as well as receiving free safety advice.

Appointments are available Monday to Friday, from 9.00am to 4.00pm.

For more information or to make an appointment contact Lewisham Council on 020 8314 7759.
