Manor Park wins Green Flag award!

I'm sure you'll be as pleased as I am to know that Manor Park has won a Green Flag in this year's judging, so joins the select list of eight Lewisham parks that have the coveted Green Flag:

Telegraph Hill
Brookmill Park
Cornmill Gardens
Chinbrook Meadows
Manor Park
Manor House Gardens
Sydenham Wells
Bellingham Green

Of course if you have a flag you need a flag pole, and I understand Glendale will be supplying this, but I don't have a date for its installation as yet. And thinking about it, it must also be some kind of record that Lee Green Ward have two parks and both now have the flag!

We'll hopefully have the judges comments in time for the September meeting of the Manor Park User Group.

Manor Park really is delightful and at this time of the year is full of colour and scent in the Mediterranean garden sections. If you haven't visited the gardens since they re-opened you really should call by as you're in for a treat. And bring your camera as the park, and the pond, are full of wild life too!
