Green Card Update

With the last edition of FOCUS, we provided a ‘Green Card’ guide to recycling in Lee Green. Here’s an update:
• You can now recycle ‘tetra pak’ cartons at the special recycling bank at Grove Park, by Somerfield
• You can recycle small electical items in the recycling bank provided by Greenwich Council at Lee Working Men’s Club on Lee Road
• Eco Computer Systems, a local social enterprise will collect unwanted computer equipment for a small charge. Email info@ecocomputersystems.org or call 7193 0167.
If you’d like a Green Card, call Brian on 020 8297 4283

Christmas Tree Recycling Points

Following the success of the drop-off point last year in Manor House Gardens, your councillors are
pleased to confirm that this year there’ll be two Christmas Tree drop-off points in the ward.
From 27th December until the end of January you’ll be able to drop off your Christmas tree for recycling at
the Old Road entrance to Manor House Gardens and the Manor Park entrance to Manor Park.

With your help we can make this years collection even more of a success and hopefully we'll be able to establish even more drop off points in the ward!

Hither Green Community Association Christmas Event

Hither Green Community Association, who will be constituted early in 2008, and who will be taking forward the regeneration of the Springbank side of Hither Green station, will be holding an outdoor Christmas event to meet local people, explain what the community association is trying to do, wish them Seasons Greetings with a glass of mulled wine and invite them to an open meeting in January 2008.

It is happening outside Hither Green station at Maythorne Cottages and by the steps on Springbank Road on Tuesday 18th December 2007 from 5.15pm to 7.30pm
