Tall Lighthouse Open Studio Poetry Event!

Following the success of the poetry event we held at Stark Gallery earlier this year we’ve decided to fund a further event from Tall Lighthouse from this year’s locality fund. This one-off special event will take place as part of the popular Open Studios weekend on Saturday 10th November at Stark Gallery, 384-386 Lee High Road, at 8pm. The line up so far for the evening includes:

Elvis McGonagall: stand-up poet, armchair revolutionary, recumbent rocker, Elvis McGonagall is the sole resident of The Graceland Caravan Park somewhere near Dundee where he scribbles verse whilst drinking malt whisky, listening to Johnny Cash & throwing heavy objects at his portable tv. Aoife Mannix: an outstandingly lyrical poet, currently performing her one-woman show growing up an alien across the country - she will read extracts from her show together with poems from her hugely successful collection the elephant in the comer & she lives in Hither Green...

John Citizen: renowned on the London poetry circuit john has been writing & performing his poetry for many years & his work has not only appeared in the national syllabus but also on the No. 38 bus...
